Coach History (3)

In 1983, the Cahns purchased 300 acres, about to 1.2 kilometer square, of dairy farm in upstate New York that they operated under the name "Coach Farm". It was intended to be a place of leisure away from the New York Coach office, but it cost they 2 hours every week on the commute from New York City to their upstate farm.
In summer of 1986, the Cahns decided to sell Coach. And Coach was sold to Sara Lee Corporation for $30 million dollars in July 1986. But the Cahns remained the ownership of the original corporate entity, Coach Leatherware Company, Inc., that originally named Gail Leather Products, Inc., which was now renamed as the Coach Farm Corporation, and produced goat cheese under the Coach Farm trademark. The Coach Farm Corporation continued to be the headquartered, located at the Coach headquarters which set in 516 West 34th Street in New York.
Sara Lee took over the factories and 6 boutiques along with its main store on Madison Avenue in New York City. After a short while, new boutiques were located in Macy's stores in New York and San Francisco. In additional, many Coach Stores were opened in Denver and Seattle, and similar boutiques were about to be opened in other major department stores later in the year. Coach also opened mall storefronts in New York, New Jersey, Texas, and California. By the end of November, Coach company operated 12 stores and nearly 50 boutiques in larger department stores.
Coach Inc. has distribution for not too long, its products under strict quality control operations and sold to the United States, France, Italy, Hong Kong, China and South Korea. Coach's International Sales process was started in 2004
